First (Spring) Flush Darjeeling Tea
After a period of lull in the winter months (from November to end of February), the harvesting of first flush teas takes place around mid March directly after spring rains. It brings along bright green and delicate shoots, almost emenating a glazed appearance. This spring time tea has young leaves and the tea has light green hue, light colour, amazing aroma, light taste, floral or earthy flavour and mild astringent quality. A must for Darjeeling tea connoisseurs.
